Intern with the Worldwatch Institute’s Nourishing the Planet project

Food & Agriculture Research Internship

The food and agriculture internship with Worldwatch is a unique opportunity to support and participate in research that drives environmental and agricultural policy. The intern will work closely with the Institute’s food and agriculture staff to refine and organize information that will contribute to a project on sustainable agricultural innovations. Responsibilities include providing research and fact-checking; collecting, organizing, and managing web content; organizing resources and contacts; providing logistical and administrative support to the on-the-ground research; and assisting in writing and outreach that will contribute to-and help to promote- the ongoing Nourishing the Planet project. Interns will also have the chance to have their name published on prominent environmental websites and in major newspapers and columns around the world.

Food & Agriculture Media and Communications Internship

The Food & Agriculture Media and Communications Internship with Worldwatch’s Nourishing the Planet project is a unique opportunity to support and participate in research that drives environmental policy. The intern will work closely with the Institute’s food and agriculture staff to design, organize, and develop web information and content that will contribute to a large, two-year project on agricultural innovations. Responsibilities include: designing the presentation of online information and data, managing web content, and helping to create a multi-media component to the project. Interns will have the opportunity to have their articles published in major news outlets, gain experience in writing press releases and opinion editorials, do effective reporter outreach, and stage events.

Food & Agriculture Development Internship

The Food and Agriculture Development Internship with Worldwatch is a unique opportunity to support and participate in research that drives environmental policy. The intern will work closely with the Institute’s food and agriculture staff to design, organize and develop case statements and funding prospects that will contribute to the Nourishing the Planet’s research on agroecological innovations. Responsibilities include: identifying potential funders, grants, fellowships; development and draft project and grant proposals; and cultivate relationships with potential funders.
