We have a whole new crop of staff and interns joining the Nourishing the Planet team this fall. Today, meet Sheldon Yoder.
Sheldon Yoder is about to finish an M.A. in International Development Studies at George Washington University and is focusing his graduate research on food security and sustainable rural development.
Before moving to Washington to complete his degree, he spent three years working in Latin American countries, most recently Bolivia where he managed a well-construction initiative and collaborated with a smallholder agriculture program. His favorite activity in the world is exploring–during his free time in Bolivia he spent a good deal of time wandering the majestic Andes and even managed to climb two 20,000 foot mountains. Before moving to Latin America, he bicycled across the United States with his sister, Sheila. In D.C. he is continuing to explore, aided greatly by his lovely wife of three months.
