We have a whole new crop of interns joining the Nourishing the Planet team this summer. Today, meet Molly Redfield.
Molly Redfield graduated this past May from Mount Holyoke College as a double major in anthropology and environmental studies. In her junior year at Mount Holyoke she studied abroad in Costa Rica where she spent the following summer working on an organic farm and researching tropical ferns. On the farm she became interested in food production and distribution systems that were not only less harmful to the environment, but could enrich it.
She loves being outside at any chance she gets. Known as Yoda by some of her friends and compared to a monkey by others, she is often found climbing to the top of something. In addition to traditional rock climbing, you might find her scrambling up a tree or boulder.
With the Nourishing the Planet team she plans to explore her interests in food, people, and the environment while climbing a few trees in the DC area in the process.
