We have a whole new crop of staff and interns joining the Nourishing the Planet team this summer. Today, meet Kamaria Greenfield.
Kamaria Greenfield is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English. She is a student at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where she is a photographer for the daily newspaper and an intramural volleyball player. Kamaria’s experience growing up in Washington, D.C. and attending school in New Haven has given her an appreciation for urban environments and their unique qualities.
Until 2010, Kamaria volunteered for DC Habitat for Humanity, helping to build homes for low-income families in Northeast Washington. She speaks French and hopes to learn Spanish in order to better understand the world and its issues when she goes abroad. Kamaria is excited to work with and learn from the Nourishing the Planet team this summer.
