We have a whole new crop of staff and interns joining the Nourishing the Planet team this spring. Today, meet Eleanor Fausold.
Eleanor is currently a junior at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, where she is studying Public Policy and Environmental Studies. Her interest in food issues began through involvement with her college’s Slow Food chapter, where she is now co-leader.
Eleanor spent her summer bicycling throughout New England as part of Better Future Project’s Climate Summer internship program. There she engaged with many community leaders, including local food advocates. She is unsure exactly how she would like to tie together her interests in public policy, food, and energy, but for now she is enjoying the opportunity to work with the Nourishing the Planet project.
Eleanor is studying in D.C. as part of Hamilton College’s Semester in Washington program. When not in school or at work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, playing cards, and spending time near her hometown on Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York State.
