We have a whole new crop of staff and interns joining the Nourishing the Planet team this summer. Today, meet Christina Wright.
Christina Wright graduated from Northeastern University in 2009 with a B.A. in International Affairs and a minor in Economics. As a student at Northeastern, she had opportunities to live and study in Santiago, Chile, and at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. While she has previously volunteered in local soup kitchens, Christina’s passions for agriculture and sustainable development were tapped when she started volunteering at an urban farm in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
As a devoted cook and novice farmer, Christina has previously worked for Project Bread’s The Walk for Hunger, an annual 20-mile charity walk that raises over $3.6 million every year for emergency food programs in Massachusetts. She loves exploring new cities and has lived in Boston and Chicago, before relocating to Washington D.C. She will pursue a M.A. in Economics next year. Christina is excited to join the Nourishing the Planet project!
