World Hunger Year (WHY) has produced a short video highlighting the connections between climate change, environmental degradation and food production. Our current system of agriculture, food processing, and transport contributes at least 1/3 of all greenhouse gas emissions. But producing food doesn’t have to contribute to climate change. Farmers, community leaders, and sustainability advocates explain how “agriculture could move from being one of the major contributors to climate crisis to actually being one of its easiest, fastest cures.” Watch the video below:
